Privacy
Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no third-party trackers, and asks you for nothing. Last updated 24 Oct 2026.
What we collect
Standard server logs only: the requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status, referrer, and user-agent string. IP addresses are truncated before storage. We use these to see which pages are read and which automated crawlers visit — including AI crawlers, which is itself part of our research.
What we do not collect
- No cookies of any kind, including analytics or preference cookies.
- No third-party scripts, fonts, embeds or pixels.
- No accounts, profiles or behavioural tracking.
If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it, and delete it on request. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list.
Research subjects
Our research subjects are software products, not people. Chatbot responses we publish are generated by us during testing; they are not other people's conversations. We do not collect, purchase or process user conversation data from any platform.
Third parties
The site is served through a content delivery network, which processes request metadata to deliver pages. Datasets are mirrored on Zenodo, which has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data beyond email correspondence, most access and erasure requests are trivially satisfied. Write to privacy@citere.ai and we will confirm what, if anything, we hold.
